Each year we put on a “Student Rendezvous” near Rigby Idaho for the 4th grade school kids (see map to Rupp tab at left). This is a great opportunity for the students to get a visual experience to go along with their study of Idaho history. In 2009 we had over 900 students attend the 4 day event. We demonstrate different aspects of the trappers life and skills as well as tell stories of the lives they lived. There are typically 8 different stations that last 15 minutes each for approximately 2 hours of fun filled learning. This year we are providing 3 days of morning sessions and afternoon sessions on request with enough participation. This is meant to better coincide with the school schedules. Morning sessions are from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM. Afternoon sessions will be from 12:00 PM to 2:30 PM. This years dates are set for May 4, 5 and 6.
